At Shoe Goo® , our passion is creating innovative adhesive solutions that help you repair, protect, and customize your footwear and gear.
At Shoe Goo®, our mission is simple: to provide the highest-quality shoe repair adhesives and glues. For over 40 years, Shoe Goo® has been the go-to product for cobblers, crafters, DIYers and anyone who wants to extend the life of their footwear.
It all started in 1972 when shoe repairman Harry Howland was determined to create a flexible yet durable shoe glue unlike anything else. After months perfecting the formula in his basement workshop, the first Shoe Goo® was born.
Word spread quickly about Harry’s revolutionary adhesive. It formed flexible bonds on leather, rubber, vinyl and other shoe materials without cracking. The demand from cobblers grew rapidly. In 1977, Harry partnered with Bob Smith to form Eclectic Products and begin manufacturing Shoe Goo® at scale.
Today, our team of chemists has further enhanced the original formula while expanding the Shoe Goo® line. The addition of a black colored adhesive and larger tube sizes have made our iconic shoe glue even more versatile. We also introduced Shoe Goo® II which dries clearer and faster than the original.
At Shoe Goo®, we’re committed to providing reliable, high-performing adhesives that live up to the brand’s reputation. With over 40 years of proven results, you can trust Shoe Goo® to repair, restore and customize your footwear. Discover why we’re the #1 shoe glue in the world!
Our proprietary formula creates superior adhesion on virtually any material - leather, rubber, plastic, vinyl, canvas and more. It bonds tightly and dries crystal clear for discreet repairs.
Shoe Goo® seals out water so repairs stay fixed even when wet. Use it to patch holes, seal seams, or waterproof gear and footwear.
Repairs remain flexible instead of getting stiff over time. This prevents cracking, peeling, and damage from bending. Your shoes will feel naturally comfy.
The thick adhesive protects against friction, scuffs, and wear. Use it to reinforce high-wear areas and prevent premature damage.
Apply directly from the squeeze tube using the built-in precision applicator tip. Easy to control and smoothes on effortlessly.
Our commercial-grade adhesive is designed to bond tightly and outlast standard glues. Repairs stand up to heavy usage for years.

Our powerful shoe repair adhesive can bond virtually any material including leather, rubber, canvas, vinyl, plastic and more. It creates flexible bonds that move with your shoes instead of cracking or peeling.
Shoe Goo® requires 24-72 hours for a full cure depending on temperature and humidity. Lower temperatures and higher humidity increase cure time. We recommend allowing a full 3 days for maximum bond strength.
Yes! Once fully cured, Shoe Goo® repairs are 100% waterproof. The bonds remain secured even when exposed to water, so it’s perfect for sealing small holes and patching worn soles.
Our original Shoe Goo® formula remains our most heavy-duty adhesive. Shoe Goo® II offers a faster drying, crystal clear formula while maintaining excellent flexibility and grip.
Start with clean, dry surfaces free of dirt and oil. Apply directly from the tube using the applicator tip. Spread evenly in layers, allowing 3-4 hours between coats. Allow 24-72 hours for full curing.
Fully cured Shoe Goo® will be difficult to remove. Gently scraping or cutting away excess adhesive may be required. We recommend acetone or citrus-based solvents for uncured adhesive.
Shoe Goo® works best when some sole material remains for bonding. For fully detached soles, we recommend purchasing replacement soles and using Shoe Goo® to re-attach the new sole.
Yes, Shoe Goo® is perfect for sealing leaks, bonding splits, and patching holes in rubber boots, waders, and other waterproof gear. It creates flexible, waterproof repairs.
Replace the cap tightly after each use. Store at room temperature away from extreme heat, cold or moisture. Refrigeration can extend shelf life but allow the adhesive to warm fully to room temperature before using.
Absolutely! Shoe Goo® also works great for fixing holes in backpacks, sealing crafts and DIY projects, creating extra traction on skateboards, and numerous household repairs.
